On first launch, macOS may show a dialog like this:
"KENSO" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified.
macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.
Don't worry — simply follow these steps:
1Right-click (or Control-click) on KENSO.app
2 Select Open from the context menu
3 Click Open in the dialog that appears
4 KENSO will launch — macOS remembers your choice for future starts
Why does this happen?
KENSO is notarized by Apple, which confirms the app is free from malware. However, because KENSO is not a native Mac app but an R-based application packaged for macOS, Gatekeeper may still show a warning on first launch. KENSO is built by an independent developer — the app is safe to run, it runs entirely on your Mac and your data never leaves the machine.
Troubleshooting
If right-click → Open doesn't work: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down → click "Open Anyway" next to the KENSO message
Make sure you drag KENSO.app to your Applications folder before opening
